{"id":625867,"date":"2026-05-06T00:54:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-06T00:54:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/625867\/"},"modified":"2026-05-06T00:54:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-06T00:54:08","slug":"report-nflra-schedules-ratification-vote-on-new-cba","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/625867\/","title":{"rendered":"Report: NFLRA schedules ratification vote on new CBA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The NFL has planned for using replacement officials in 2026, but it looks like they may not need to go that route. <\/p>\n<p>ESPN reports that talks between the NFL Referees Association and the league about a new Collective Bargaining Agreement <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/48688152\/sources-nflra-schedules-vote-ratify-new-cba-nfl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">have progressed<\/a> to the point that the union has scheduled a ratification vote. That vote is scheduled for Thursday. <\/p>\n<p>Tuesday\u2019s report about the vote comes a week after the NFL <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/nfl\/profootballtalk\/rumor-mill\/news\/as-possible-lockout-looms-nfl-has-distributed-2026-crew-assignments-for-regular-officials\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">distributed crew assignments<\/a> for the regular officials, which was seen as a positive sign for the direction talks were taking ahead of the expiration of the current CBA on May 31. <\/p>\n<p>The NFL began <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/nfl\/profootballtalk\/rumor-mill\/news\/nfl-begins-onboarding-replacement-officials\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">the onboarding process<\/a> for replacement officials last month as the two sides continued to discuss a new agreement.
