JOHNSBURY, Vt. (WCAX) &#8211; If you\u2019re in St. Johnsbury, your internet will soon be much faster.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Fidium announced it\u2019ll begin construction this month on its all-fiber internet network in an effort to connect more than 5,000 homes and businesses. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">They\u2019ll join the more than 466,000 buildings in New Hampshire and Vermont connected through fiber optic technology.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">In addition to better internet access, Fidium says the service provides improved educational outcomes, reduced healthcare costs, and other economic opportunities. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Construction is expected to start around mid-August.<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2025 WCAX.
