San Antonio<\/a> defeated Minnesota<\/a>, 133-95, on Wednesday in the NBA Western Conference semifinals<\/a> at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas. The best-of-seven series is tied, 1-1.<\/p>\n

Former Vol Julian Phillips<\/a> played 10 minutes for the Timberwolves<\/a> in Game 2. He totaled three points and one steal against the Spurs. Phillips converted 1-of-3 field goal attempts and his only three-point attempt.<\/p>\n

Victor Wembanyama<\/a> scored 19 points in 26 minutes for San Antonio, while Anthony Edwards<\/a> totaled 12 points in 24 minutes for Minnesota.<\/p>\n

Game 3 will take place Friday at Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota<\/a>. Tipoff is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. EDT.<\/p>\n

Phillips played one season as a freshman at Tennessee. He appeared in 32 games, including 25 starts, for the Vols during the 2022-23 season. Phillips averaged 8.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game.<\/p>\n

He was selected by Boston<\/a> in the second round of the 2023 NBA draft (No. 35 overall). The Celtics traded the pick to Washington<\/a>. The Wizards then traded the selection of Phillips to Chicago<\/a>.<\/p>\n
