SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Cox South Hospital in Springfield received a C grade on hospital safety from Leapfrog, a group that grades hospitals on safety categories.<\/p>\n
CoxHealth said that quality and safety in healthcare are complex and ongoing efforts. The hospital system said it has consistently prevented the spread of infections within hospitals and has practices in place to prevent errors.<\/p>\n
CoxHealth said it recently added a new electronic medical record system to improve documentation, accuracy, and coordination. The hospital system said its highest priority is safe, high-quality care.<\/p>\n

The most recent Hospital Safety Grades from The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit organization focused on patient safety, were released on Wednesday. In these rankings, Cox Medical Center Branson received a \u201cB,\u201d and Cox South received a \u201cC.\u201d<\/p>\n
