Now, there are apps not just for meeting romantic mates, but platonic ones, too. <\/p>\n<p><a class=\"externallink\" title=\"\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/timeleft.com\/\">Timeleft<\/a>, a subscription-based app that helps you meet friends, is in over 160 cities. While the company doesn\u2019t publicly report their user numbers, the app\u2019s Instagram page has over 1.3 million followers. <\/p>\n<p>Timeleft, Bumble BFF, and 222 are all \u201cfriendship\u201d apps you can find in app stores, and are becoming increasingly popular across the globe. Their prime demographic is young working professionals who don\u2019t feel they have enough time to make new connections outside of work, but might still be willing to shell out a small monthly subscription fee. <\/p>\n<p>Amarah Hasham-Steele is an editorial fellow at The Walrus, a Canadian magazine. Hasham-Steele <a class=\"externallink\" title=\"\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/thewalrus.ca\/i-was-lonely-and-let-an-app-pick-my-new-friends-heres-how-it-went\/\">tried out some of these apps<\/a>.
