Authorities in Arapahoe County are warning residents about a new neighbor prowling their neighborhood.<\/p>\n
A bobcat has been spotted in a Centennial neighborhood, according to an X post from the Arapahoe County sheriff\u2019s office. The animal has specifically been spotted in the area of South Holly Street and East Dry Creek.<\/p>\n
Deputies are warning residents to remain alert and keep pets on a leash or inside. Authorities told residents not to approach the bobcat or attempt to feed it, and report any aggressive behavior to local authorities.<\/p>\n
Bobcats are commonly found throughout North America. They can grow to be about 15 to 30 pounds, about the size of a medium-sized dog.<\/p>\n
Bobcats also rarely attack people, and typically will run away if threatened. However, they can be dangerous to smaller pets.<\/p>\n
