Through coordinated investments in transport infrastructure, energy systems, digital connectivity, and advanced manufacturing supply chains, the LEC will create thousands of high-quality jobs and transform Luzon into a more prosperous and interconnected region.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe expansion of the LEC partnership demonstrates the power of collaboration among likeminded nations committed to transparency and shared prosperity,\u201d\u00a0said Philippine Secretary of Finance Frederick D. Go, Co-Chair of the LEC Steering Committee.\u00a0\u201cTogether, we are building infrastructure that will improve daily life for millions of Filipinos and create new opportunities for businesses, industries, and communities\u00a0in our partner countries and across the region.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>LEC partners share a commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific and pledge to promote fair and transparent economic development. Partners will contribute through technical\u00a0assistance, financing, and facilitation of private sector investments, while actively\u00a0participating\u00a0in working groups focused on transport, energy, and digital infrastructure.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;Australia is mobilizing\u00a0investment in the LEC through Australia\u2019s Manila Deal Team, reinforced by technical\u00a0assistance\u00a0under\u00a0the\u00a0Partnerships for Infrastructure program\u00a0and\u00a0a new\u00a0Php1.9-billion (US$32.6-million)\u00a0partnership with the Philippines on inclusive economic growth.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;Denmark\u00a0is contributing\u00a0to the\u00a0LEC\u00a0by\u00a0revitalizing Philippine shipbuilding, advancing green maritime innovation,\u00a0and\u00a0fostering investments, jobs, and sustainable industrial development. Working with government and the private sector, Denmark\u2019s shipbuilding initiative aims\u00a0to create\u00a010,000 jobs.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;France is strengthening connectivity in the LEC by financing 100 bridges through official development\u00a0assistance,\u00a0and industrial capacity building\u00a0through\u00a0a foreign direct investment project in the aeronautics\u00a0sector.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;Italy\u00a0is contributing\u00a0to the development of quality, resilient, and sustainable infrastructure by increasing its public financial support\u00a0in order to\u00a0facilitate\u00a0private sector investment from Italian companies in the transport, semiconductors,\u00a0and manufacturing sectors\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;The Republic of Korea is contributing to enhanced transport and digital connectivity,\u00a0and\u00a0sustained economic growth along the LEC, through Official Development Assistance\u00a0and\u00a0Public-Private Partnership\u00a0initiatives, including a Php1.5billion (US$25.6million) grant\u00a0to establish\u00a0the National Cyber Security Center and the Ninoy Aquino International Airport modernization\u00a0PPP Project.\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;Sweden\u00a0is contributing\u00a0to Luzon\u2019s\u00a0Subic-Clark-Manila-Batangas freight\u00a0railway through a\u00a0Php74-million\u00a0(US$1.2\u00a0million)\u00a0grant to fund a feasibility study on signaling systems and operational models.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;The United Kingdom\u00a0is deploying\u00a0its full Growth and Investment Partnerships (GIP+) toolkit in the LEC, providing technical\u00a0assistance,\u00a0Php411\u00a0billion (US$6.8 billion)\u00a0in export finance, and mobilizing capital towards infrastructure and energy projects.\u00a0&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe expansion of the Luzon Economic Corridor partnership shows what we can\u00a0accomplish\u00a0when likeminded nations unite around strategic infrastructure and shared prosperity.
