The Minnesota Timberwolves<\/a> escaped the San Antonio Spurs, 114-109, in Game 4<\/a> at Target Center on Sunday to tie their second-round series, 2-2. There were nail-biting moments in the closing minutes, but the Timberwolves stayed poised to complete the come-from-behind victory.<\/p>\n

Conley did not play in the fourth quarter. He finished with eight points and two assists in 11 minutes off the bench.<\/p>\n

The veteran guard was a clutch player during his prime, usually finishing the game. But in recent years, he has taken a backseat to his teammates. He admitted that he was anxious<\/a> during crunch time in Game 4.<\/p>\n

\u201cI told Kyle (Anderson), \u2018I\u2019ve never been so nervous.\u2019 Just sitting over here, I was like, \u2018I don\u2019t know how to handle this.\u2019 Watching it late, and we turned it over, I\u2019m like, \u2018God, I just wish I could get out there.\u2019 He said, \u2018Trust the guys,\u2019 and we just trusted them,\u201d said Conley in the video posted by Timberwolves reporter Andrew Dukowitz.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe got plenty of guys (who stepped up). Ayo (Dosunmu) came in and took that role and won the game for us, I believe, with the way he was able to handle the pressure.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dosunmu made a wild catch with 13 seconds left<\/a> to save the possession for Minnesota. He sank two free throws to seal the win. He also scored on an and-1 play with 1:12 remaining to give the Timberwolves a seven-point lead.<\/p>\n

He finished with 10 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals.<\/p>\n

Anthony Edwards scored 16 of his game-high 36 points in the fourth quarter, while Rudy Gobert and Naz Reid also made timely buckets.<\/p>\n
