(WCYB) \u2014 Wildlife activity at three Elizabethton Electric Department substations caused a large power outage Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>According to the City of Elizabethton, three Elizabethton Electric Department substations lost power due to wildlife activity. <\/p>\n<p>The outage impacted parts of Elizabethton, lower Stoney Creek, Watauga, and Biltmore.<\/p>\n<p>Power was fully resorted by 1:30 p.m. and approximately 11,000 customers were impacted according to the city. <\/p>\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n<p>UPDATE: The power outage in Elizabethton has been resolved according to the Elizabethton Electric System power outage map. <\/p>\n<p>The cause of the outage is still unknown. <\/p>\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n<p>Over 11,000 people are without power in Elizabethton according to the Elizabethton Electric System.<\/p>\n<p>The Electric System&#8217;s power outage map, shows most of Elizabethton without power.<\/p>\n<p>Poweroutage.us is reporting 11,059 people without power, with 10,641 of those in Carter County, 374 of those in Sullivan County, and 44 of those in Washington County.<\/p>\n<p>Comment with Bubbles<\/p>\n<p>BE THE FIRST TO COMMENT<\/p>\n<p>News 5 is still working to learn the cause of the outage. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"ELIZABETHTON, Tenn.
