ALL Social Security branches will be closed for an entire day this month, leaving Americans with no alternative.<\/p>\n

The branches are closing for Memorial Day on Monday, May 25, alongside many major banks<\/a> and retailers<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Memorial Day<\/a> falls on the final Monday of every May to remember and mourn soldiers who died in the line of duty.<\/p>\n

Americans have already seen Social Security offices close for federal holidays this year, including New Year\u2019s Day and Martin Luther King, Jr.\u2019s Birthday.<\/p>\n

According to the website<\/a>, the offices close for all 11 federal holidays every year.<\/p>\n

This means the offices will be closed for upcoming holidays such as Independence Day, Labor Day<\/a>, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving<\/a> and Christmas<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Social Security website is expected to be operational on Memorial Day, however.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\tSocial Security payments are handed out on the second, third, and fourth Wednesday of each month, depending on a beneficiary’s date of birth. Benefits will be paid out in 2026 on the following dates:\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

Major banks incluidng Wells Fargo<\/a>, Bank of America<\/a>, Citibank,\u00a0JPMorgan Chase<\/a>\u00a0and Goldman Sachs will be closed for Memorial Day. <\/p>\n

ATMs and online banking<\/a> will be working, but any transactions made could be frozen until the following day. <\/p>\n

Costco<\/a> is one of the biggest retailers to confirm its closure on May 25, but other chains such as Walmart<\/a>,\u00a0Target<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0The Home Depot<\/a> will be open.<\/p>\n
