The Minnesota Vikings are still trying to figure out their quarterback situation. J.J. McCarthy is entering his third year in purple and gold, and the team still doesn’t know much about his future. Kyler Murray was signed this offseason, but he doesn’t seem like a long-term answer.<\/p>\n

In a league where having a solid quarterback is a must, the Vikings need to continue exploring their options until they are in a position where they feel comfortable with the player behind center heading into every season.<\/p>\n

Using a top-ten draft pick on a passer or spending a ton of money in free agency might be one way to do it, but that means Minnesota would need to acquire an early draft choice or clear a lot of salary cap space to make that happen. Plus, franchise quarterbacks rarely hit the market anyway.<\/p>\n

Minnesota Vikings named as team that could potentially trade for two-time MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson<\/p>\n

The situation involving the Baltimore Ravens and quarterback Lamar Jackson will be interesting for Minnesota Vikings fans to keep an eye on. Although it seems like an extreme long shot, having a two-time MVP would be a huge boost to the offense and provide stability for the future.<\/p>\n

Recently, FanSided’s Alicia de Artola published an article discussing the situation with Jackson and the Ravens. Included in that piece are some “realistic trade suitors” <\/a>that could emerge if the Baltimore quarterback is put on the trade block.<\/p>\n

“Instead of restoring a piece of furniture they found in a back alley, Minnesota could try bringing in an actual star and reopening their Super Bowl window.”<\/p>\n

Calling Kyler Murray back alley furniture seems a little harsh, but his record of success with the Arizona Cardinals doesn’t leave much for Vikings fans to celebrate about. That doesn’t mean he won’t thrive in 2026<\/a>, but he isn’t going to be mentioned along with Lamar Jackson when talking about top-tier quarterbacks in the NFL.<\/p>\n

Thinking about a Super Bowl for the Minnesota Vikings seems a bit premature<\/a>, but considering the team ended last season with a winning record despite some of the shakiest quarterback play in the franchise’s history, it doesn’t seem impossible that Jackson could elevate the team that far.<\/p>\n

It doesn’t seem impossible that Lamar Jackson demands a trade from the Baltimore Ravens, but it isn’t something the Minnesota Vikings should bank on. However, if it does happen, expect many fans to hope he goes from one purple jersey to another when it is all said and done.<\/p>\n
