The midfielder is only 16, but he has already been making waves in Germany. He is now widely considered one of the most exciting young talents in the country<\/a>, earning comparisons to Real Madrid legend Toni Kroos.<\/p>\n

Man Utd ahead of Bayern Munich in Kennet Eichhorn race<\/p>\n

With his elusive skill set, immeasurable talent, and unlimited potential, it was only a matter of time for the European elite to notice Eichhorn\u2019s meteoric rise<\/a> to prominence.<\/p>\n

In recent weeks, Man Utd emerged as one of the main candidates in the race for Eichhorn\u2019s signature.<\/a> The Red Devils were said to be duelling with their crosstown rivals, Manchester City, who are equally interested in the player.<\/p>\n

That update was, at the time, provided by trusted German journalist Christian Falk.<\/p>\n

The Bundesliga expert has once again touched on Eichhorn\u2019s future, providing a fresh boost for MUFC, albeit without naming them this time.<\/p>\n

While Bayern Munich were previously suggested as one of the frontrunners in the race, Falk insists that the Bavarians are trailing behind their domestic and continental rivals.<\/p>\n

\u201cAre Bayern leading the race to sign Kennet Eichhorn? It is not true. Other clubs are closer to this deal,\u201d wrote the journalist in his latest column for CF Bayern Insider<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn February, there was already a meeting with Borussia Dortmund, where they tried to secure this big talent. I think RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt are also in front, as they can offer more playing time.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd don\u2019t forget that there are still English clubs who would like to sign him. So, at the moment, Bayern are still fighting for this big talent, but they\u2019re not in the driver\u2019s seat.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Why Man Utd might struggle to recruit Eichhorn<\/p>\n

At the tender age of 16, Eichhorn\u2019s family and entourage might be leaning towards keeping him in Germany rather than risking a culture shock by moving him abroad. Hence, BVB and Leipzig might be better positioned than Man Utd and Man City to land the teenager.<\/p>\n

Moreover, with the midfielder already familiarising himself with senior football, he would likely want to join a club that guarantees him a place in the first team.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Man Utd might deem him too young and green for the senior level, so the two parties might not necessarily share the same vision.<\/p>\n
