With Dave Filoni taking over as the President of Star Wars<\/a>, fans can expect a tripling down on lore and characters from his run on the animated Clone Wars cartoons and its spin-offs. Star Wars is clearly eager to have some direction, after years of false starts and disappointments, an era that might be coming to an end with The Mandalorian And Grogu and Star Wars: Starfighter heading to movie theaters. Filoni\u2019s latest show premiered earlier this year, finally giving Darth Maul a series of his own<\/a>. It was the first time the franchise returned to Maul since his 2018 cameo in Solo: A Star Wars Story, indicating that the series wants to tie off dangling threads. Speaking of things Star Wars is finally getting back to, at Disney\u2019s upfront presentation today, the company remembered it has an Ahsoka show<\/a> starring Rosario Dawson that it hasn\u2019t touched since 2023. Well, followers of the orange-skinned Jedi will have their patience rewarded because a new season is coming in early 2027.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeing part of the same galaxy as [Mandalorian And Grogu star] Sigourney Weaver, can I get better than that?\u201d Rosario Dawson said during the presentation. \u201cIt is special seeing the love fans have for Ahsoka and her crew. This season, battles are bigger, stakes are higher.\u201d<\/p>\n

When we last saw Ahsoka, she was enjoying the ratings boost that a returning Hayden Christensen can bring you. But the main thrust of the series, in addition to getting Christensen back in the Vader helmet, was injecting more Clone Wars elements into Disney\u2019s Star Wars universe.
