IT\u2019S STILL BURNING INSIDE THE FRONT CAB DESTROYED THE MELTED ALL THE WAY DOWN TO JUST THE FRAMEWORK. YOU CAN\u2019T EVEN REALLY SEE THE FRONT CAB. YOU CAN SEE ABOUT NINE FIREFIGHTERS OUT THERE. THEY\u2019RE SPRAYING WATER ON IT, BUT THEY\u2019RE REALLY LETTING ALL THAT SMOKE OUT OF THE TRAILER. YOU CAN SEE THE BURN MARKS ON THE SIDE, AND YOU CAN SEE ALSO TRAFFIC IS MOVING, MOVING SMOOTHLY. THEY HAVEN\u2019T HAD TO CLOSE ANY LANES. AGAIN, THIS IS I-5 SOUTHBOUND JUST SOUTH OF FLORIN ROAD, NEAR BETWEEN, BASICALLY BETWEEN FLORIN AND POCKET ROAD EXITS. AND YOU CAN SEE THAT THERE ARE SOME SLOWDOWNS. WELL, THERE ARE SOME SLOWDOWNS, BUT FOR THE MOST PART THEY HAVEN\u2019T HAD TO CLOSE A LANE. SO PEOPLE ARE GETTING THROUGH. IT\u2019S JUST TAKING A LITTLE EXTRA TIME. IF YOU\u2019RE TRAVELING SOUTHBOUND THROUGH THE POCKET AREA, GOING INTO SOUTH SACRAMENTO. NO WORD ON INJURIES RIGHT NOW. WE JUST KNOW THIS CAR FIRE TRUCK, THIS SEMI TRUCK FIRE BROKE OUT ABOUT 403 THIS AFTERNOON. Video captured by LiveCopter 3 shows smoke and flames coming out of a big rig on southbound I-5 near Pocket Road. The front of the big rig is also destroyed, according to LiveCopter 3. <\/p>\n
Sacramento Fire Department said the big rig was carrying a load of cardboard. The driver escaped without injuries.<\/p>\n
