\n\tDonald Gibb, an American actor who appeared in cult classics like \u201cRevenge of the Nerds\u201d and \u201cBloodsport<\/a>,\u201d has died, according to TMZ<\/a>. He was 71.<\/p>\n

\n\tGibb\u2019s son, Travis, confirmed to the outlet that his father died from health complications on Tuesday in his Texas home.<\/p>\n

\n\tGibb was probably best known for playing the hulking, simple-minded fraternity bro Ogre in the 1984 comedy \u201cRevenge of the Nerds.\u201d He reprised the role in the 1987 sequel \u201cRevenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise,\u201d as well as the 1994 TV movie \u201cRevenge of the Nerds IV: Nerds in Love.\u201d In 1988, he co-starred alongside Jean-Claude Van Damme in \u201cBloodsport\u201d as Ray Jackson, a beefier, more explosive American martial artist, who served as counter programming to Van Damme\u2019s cool and calculated Frank Dux. He reprised the role for the 1996 follow-up.<\/p>\n

\n\tGibbs most recent film credits include \u201cHancock,\u201d \u201c8 of Diamonds,\u201d \u201cThe Biggest Fan,\u201d \u201cThe Lightning Bug\u201d and \u201cGrind.\u201d On the TV side, he had one-off roles in \u201cThe Young and the Restless,\u201d \u201cThe X-Files,\u201d \u201cThe A-Team,\u201d \u201cSeinfeld,\u201d \u201cDays of Our Lives\u201d and \u201cMagnum: P.I.\u201d His most recent credit was a supporting role in Justin Kuhn\u2019s boxing thriller \u201cHands.\u201d He\u2019s also credited with a small role in the unreleased B-horror film \u201cBurlesque Ghost Hunters.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tGibb also lent his voice to several video games, including \u201cRage,\u201d \u201cMafia II\u201d and \u201cAlter Echo.\u201d<\/p>\n
