{"id":641383,"date":"2026-05-13T21:37:10","date_gmt":"2026-05-13T21:37:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/641383\/"},"modified":"2026-05-13T21:37:10","modified_gmt":"2026-05-13T21:37:10","slug":"netflix-adds-three-nfl-games-in-major-step-up-of-league-relationship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/641383\/","title":{"rendered":"Netflix Adds Three NFL Games In Major Step-Up Of League Relationship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/netflix\/\" id=\"auto-tag_netflix\" data-tag=\"netflix\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Netflix<\/a> is expanding its relationship with the <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/nfl\/\" id=\"auto-tag_nfl\" data-tag=\"nfl\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NFL<\/a>, adding three regular-season games to its existing <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/christmas\/\" id=\"auto-tag_christmas\" data-tag=\"christmas\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Christmas<\/a> Day double-header.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe company\u2019s chief content officer, Bela Bajaria, announced the moves, which are part of a four-year extension with the league through 2029-30, at the company\u2019s annual upfront presentation in New York.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe streaming giant said it will carry an LA Rams-San Francisco 49ers game from Australia on September 10, on the first weekend of the season. It will be the league\u2019s first game played Down Under, amid an aggressive international push that has put games in Mexico, Brazil, Germany and the UK in recent years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tOn Wednesday, November 25 (the night before <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/thanksgiving\/\" id=\"auto-tag_thanksgiving\" data-tag=\"thanksgiving\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Thanksgiving<\/a> Day, an annual blitz for the NFL), Netflix will have exclusive rights to a Green Bay Packers game against the LA Rams at SoFi Stadium. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe company also said it has taken rights to a Week 18 game on January 9, the final day of the regular season, when playoff berths will likely be on the line. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThat matchup, as well as the teams facing off in the third year of its current deal for Christmas Day, will be revealed Thursday when the league unveils its schedule.
