(WAFB) &#8211; Baton Rouge radio host Jodi Koontz of iHeartMedia\u2019s \u201cMurphy Sam &amp; Jodi\u201d has been named a 2026 Gracies Award winner, earning the honor for Nationally Syndicated Radio Host, according to a press release from the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation (AWMF). <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"Jodi Koontz\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/5EHX6IRTYFGKPNYSP5YH66AW2E.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\" \/>Jodi Koontz(iHeartMedia Multi-Platform Group)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cThe Gracies\u201d recognize programming and individual achievement created by women, for women, and about women across news and entertainment media. The awards are named in honor of Gracie Allen of Burns &amp; Allen fame. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Koontz\u2019s win marks her second Gracie in three years in the nationally syndicated radio host category. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Based in Baton Rouge on 96.1 The River, \u201cMurphy Sam &amp; Jodi\u201d is currently syndicated to 87 cities across the United States through Premiere Radio Networks and Media 3 Entertainment, LLC, according to the press release. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Award winners will be honored at a gala on May 19 in Los Angeles, where Koontz is expected to accept the award in person.
