Up until now, AMD\u2019s 3D V-Cache chips have mainly been geared toward gamers, but they\u2019ve also gotten better at creative tasks over recent years. In our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/reviews\/626820\/amd-ryzen-9-9950x3d-review-cpu-processor-benchmark-test\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">review of the Ryzen 9 9950X3D<\/a> last year, Tom Warren crowned it \u201cthe best CPU for both gaming and creator tasks,\u201d noting that it \u201cgreatly improves creator workloads\u201d compared to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2024\/11\/6\/24288948\/amd-ryzen-7-9800x3d-review-cpu-processor-benchmark-test\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ryzen 7 9800X3D<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">According to AMD, the 3D V-Cache tech will be useful for \u201ccomplex, data-intensive workloads such as simulation, rendering and real-time visualization.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amd.com\/en\/products\/processors\/workstations\/ryzen-pro.html#systems\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">expanded Ryzen PRO 9000 series<\/a>, built on AMD\u2019s Zen 5 architecture, includes chips with 6 to 16 cores and 12 to 32 threads, along with support for up to 256GB of EEC DDR5 memory and support for PCIe 5.0. AMD says only \u201cselect\u201d models include the 3D V-Cache.
