With the end of \u201cThe Late Show\u201d looming, Stephen Colbert is reflecting on his tenure as host, including some of the guests he found most attractive.<\/p>\n
During Wednesday\u2019s episode of the \u201cStrike Force Five\u201d podcast, Colbert revealed he was \u201cwildly attracted\u201d to actress Michelle Williams when she first appeared on the show back in 2016. She\u2019d been promoting the Broadway show \u201cBlackbird\u201d at the time.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ll tell you who I did not expect to be wildly attracted to,\u201d he told his fellow late night hosts, Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers and John Oliver.<\/p>\n
\u201cI didn\u2019t know what to do with myself. I like this person\u2019s work, but I never thought of them as like a bombshell,\u201d he continued. \u201cI could not \u2014 I didn\u2019t know what to do with my eyeballs when Michelle Williams was on for the first time.\u201d<\/p>\n
Colbert added: \u201cShe sat down across from me and I went, \u2018F\u2014k, what is wrong with my head? I\u2019d better not look directly at her for this entire interview.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
Williams most recently appeared on the \u201cLate Show\u201d in 2025 to talk about her show, \u201cDying for Sex.\u201d The limited series is based on the true story of Molly Kochan, a woman who, upon receiving a terminal stage IV breast cancer diagnosis at 40, leaves her marriage to embark on a journey of sexual discovery. Williams won a Golden Globe for her work on the show.<\/p>\n
The \u201cDawson\u2019s Creek\u201d alum previously appeared on \u201cThe Late Show\u201d in 2019, to promote her FX show \u201cFosse\/Verdon.\u201d<\/p>\n
Colbert also revealed actresses Rachel Weisz, Rebecca Ferguson and \u201cSpiderman\u201d star Andrew Garfield each similarly left him awestruck.<\/p>\n
\u201cI used to have a Rachel Weisz problem,\u201d he said. \u201cWhen Rachel Weisz would be on, I would leave the building for fear I would say something stupid.\u201d<\/p>\n
And in 2017, Colbert actually gave Garfield a smooch during his guest appearance on the \u201cLate Show.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cDid he do it hanging upside down dressed as Spider-Man?\u201d Kimmel joked.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo, but we did get our fingers tangled in each other\u2019s hair,\u201d Colbert replied.<\/p>\n
The finale episode of\u00a0 \u201cThe Late Show with Stephen Colbert\u201d is slated to air on Thursday, May 21, 2026.
