{"id":643149,"date":"2026-05-14T18:34:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-14T18:34:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/643149\/"},"modified":"2026-05-14T18:34:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-14T18:34:08","slug":"suspect-in-murder-of-university-of-washington-student-surrenders-to-police","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/643149\/","title":{"rendered":"Suspect in murder of University of Washington student surrenders to police"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SEATTLE (KOMO)  \u2014 Seattle police have arrested a suspect in the murder of a University of Washington student.<\/p>\n<p>The student, a 19-year-old  transgender woman, was found dead with stab wounds in a laundry room at the Nordheim Court Apartments \u2013 off-campus housing for UW students \u2013 Sunday night. <\/p>\n<p>The arrest came hours after the Seattle Police Department (SPD) <a href=\"https:\/\/komonews.com\/news\/local\/seattle-police-detectives-seek-suspect-in-homicide-of-university-of-washington-student-stabbing-crime-wanted-photos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">released photos of a suspect <\/a>on Wednesday, described as armed and dangerous. The SPD confirmed to KOMO News that the man in the photos is the same man who was arrested.<\/p>\n<p>According to Seattle police Det.
