Meanwhile, in parts of Delhi, residents also reported a dust storm in the early hours of Friday.<\/p>\n<p>IMD issues orange alert<\/p>\n<p>As per the latest update, the orange alert issued by the IMD is currently active for &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>North DelhiNorth West DelhiCentral DelhiWest DelhiSouth West DelhiNew DelhiSouth DelhiSouth East DelhiEast DelhiShahadraNorth East Delhi<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, a yellow alert is active for light rain in Gautam Buddh Nagar and Ghaziabad.<\/p>\n<p>Delhi-NCR sees intense weather changes<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, the weather changed dramatically in the national capital with the IMD recording<a class=\"backlink\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/cities\/delhi-news\/delhi-battered-by-100km-hour-winds-hailstorm-over-500-flights-delayed-101778698655920.html\" data-vars-page-type=\"story\" data-vars-link-type=\"Manual\" data-vars-anchor-text=\"winds reaching up to 100 km\/hr\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> winds reaching up to 100 km\/hr<\/a>. The strong winds were accompanied by heavy rain and a hailstorm in parts of Delhi.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content \">The weather shift also disrupted flight operations at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, with over 500 flights delayed, 15 diverted and six flights forced to &#8220;go around&#8221; due to bad weather.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content \">\u201cWe had extremely strong winds, touching 98km\/hr.
