The general consensus around PS Plus Extra<\/a> seems to be that Sony’s middle-tier subscription is actually really good, offering up a consistently strong lineup of PS5 and PS4 software.<\/p>\n

And we can’t see that perception changing this month, as the games for May 2026 range from genuinely great to “hmmm, I should give that a go”.<\/p>\n

Red Dead Redemption 2<\/a> obviously needs no introduction \u2014 it’s a bloody masterpiece \u2014 but plenty of subscribers will have already played it.<\/p>\n

It’s a good job, then, that fellow open worlder Star Wars Outlaws<\/a> is here, having previously underperformed in terms of sales. We can see a lot of people booting this one up in a bid to form their own opinion.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, Bramble: The Mountain King<\/a> is a very creepy indie title, and The Thaumaturge<\/a> is, some would argue, a frustratingly underrated RPG.<\/p>\n

And hey, you simply can’t go wrong with Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars Reforged<\/a> \u2014 a true classic brought back to life with exemplary care and attention.<\/p>\n

Okay, so Extra’s pretty good, but what about PS Plus Premium<\/a>? Well, the bad news is we’re still on one game a month. But the better news is that Time Crisis<\/a> is an eternal banger.<\/p>\n
