If you missed\u00a0Iron Lung<\/a>\u00a0in the theater, or just want to see it again, good news: starting May 31, you can.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s when the Mark \u201cMarkiplier\u201d Fischbach-directed horror movie will come to YouTube. What\u2019s more, it\u2019ll be exclusively for the platform\u2014fitting, since it\u2019s where Markiplier\u2019s career began and led to him making the film. And as he said during the Cannes panel where this was announced, \u201cI\u2019m pretty loyal to it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Based on David Syzmanski\u2019s indie horror game of the same name,\u00a0Iron Lung\u00a0stars Markiplier as Simon, a convict forced to pilot a submarine through an ocean of blood on a desolate moon. It was a big deal when it came out this past January, given Markiplier also self-funded the film after larger studios passed on it or tried to exert greater control. While it got mixed reviews, it had a very strong theatrical run, famously beating out Amazon\u2019s Melania Trump biopic<\/a> and ultimately made $51 million worldwide. And along with being another successful indie horror flick from a YouTuber, the film seems to have inspired fellow YouTuber Sean \u201cJackSepticEye\u201d McLoughlin to produce an animated Bloodborne movie<\/a>.<\/p>\n

At time of writing, there\u2019s no word on how much\u00a0Iron Lung\u00a0will cost when it hits YouTube on May 31. And if you\u2019re holding out hope for a physical release, you may want to stay tuned\u2014he said in February that it\u2019d come to Blu-Ray<\/a>, so hopefully it won\u2019t be too long a wait after the YouTube release.<\/p>\n
