Three men were found dead in front of the Islamic Center of San Diego, officials said.<\/p>\n
Officers found the men minutes after they were dispatched to the mosque at 11:43 a.m., Police Chief Scott Wahl said.<\/p>\n
Around the same time, Wahl said, authorities began getting calls about gunfire a couple of blocks away. <\/p>\n
A landscaper who was working in the area was shot at but uninjured, Wahl said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Moments later, he said, officers were called to a vehicle in the street with the apparent suspects inside. Both appeared to have died from self-inflicted gunshot wounds, he said, noting that investigators believe no officers fired their weapons.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe circumstances that led up to this and the details of what happened in exactly which time it happened will come out in the days ahead,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
