The Minnesota Timberwolves had their postseason run cut<\/a> by the San Antonio Spurs<\/a> in the second round, and they didn\u2019t leave them any air to breathe in Game 6. The Spurs had control for the majority of the game, and by the fourth quarter, the Timberwolves were down by a very large margin.<\/p>\n

That led Anthony Edwards<\/a> to go over to the Spurs\u2019 bench with about nine minutes left in the game, and he dapped up everybody on the team, including the coaches. Since then, there has been a lot of criticism thrown his way following his actions, and Dan Patrick was the latest to share his opinion<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnthony Edwards could be well intentioned, but with 9 minutes to go, I can\u2019t do that,\u201d Patrick said on his show.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou gotta read the room here,\u201d Patrick continued. \u201cYes, you\u2019re getting blown out, and you\u2019re going to go down there and congratulate them? How about we wait six or seven minutes before you do it?\u201d<\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t seem like many people were fans of what he did, but Edwards explained his reasoning after reporters asked him.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt that point, you know you ain\u2019t going back in, so you\u2019re just trying to get them the respect that they deserve,\u201d Edwards told reporters.<\/p>\n

It makes sense, but as a competitor, some thought that he should\u2019ve waited until the end of the game. LeBron James<\/a> once pulled the same move in 2018 against the Golden State Warriors<\/a> in the NBA Finals, but he did it with about four minutes left in the game.<\/p>\n

There should definitely be other things to talk about regarding the Timberwolves, including what moves they should make to try to improve the team this offseason. Everyone knows that they\u2019ll be in the Giannis Antetokounmpo<\/a> sweepstakes, and they\u2019ll have to put together a nice package in order to land him.<\/p>\n
