{"id":652735,"date":"2026-05-19T17:10:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-19T17:10:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/652735\/"},"modified":"2026-05-19T17:10:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-19T17:10:08","slug":"mark-davis-keeps-selling-off-more-and-more-pieces-of-the-raiders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/652735\/","title":{"rendered":"Mark Davis keeps selling off more and more pieces of the Raiders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Raiders owner Mark Davis continues to own less and less of the team.<\/p>\n<p>Via Albert Breer of SI.com, this week\u2019s ownership meeting will include <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/AlbertBreer\/status\/2056737415058846160?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">votes on several Raiders-related transactions<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Egon Durban hopes to buy another 11 percent of the team, which would push his personal holdings to 22 percent. Michael Meldman targets another 5.4 percent, for a total of 12.9 percent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSmall chunks\u201d of the team also will be purchased by Dell founder Michael Dell, Blackstone executive Joseph Baratta, WME CEO Ari Emanuel, and TKO president Mark Shapiro.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, Davis created a succession plan that would give Durban an <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/nfl\/profootballtalk\/rumor-mill\/news\/mark-davis-agrees-to-raiders-succession-plan-but-insists-hes-not-selling-the-team\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">option to buy<\/a> controlling interest in the team, if\/when Davis decides to cash out entirely.<\/p>\n<p>For now, Davis is cashing out partially. He still has enough to run the team. It\u2019s starting to feel like Davis is inching toward exiting the business he inherited when his father, Al Davis, died in 2011.<\/p>\n<p>As Davis, who turned 72 on Monday, <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.raiders.com\/news\/mark-davis-reflects-on-raiders-busy-offseason-free-agency-2026-draft-number-1-pick\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">said earlier this year<\/a>, he\u2019s not married. He has no children. He can\u2019t take it with him, and he can\u2019t pass it on.
