WASHINGTON (TNND) \u2014 President Donald Trump will travel to Connecticut on Wednesday to address graduates at the United States Coast Guard Academy. <\/p>\n
The president will address the 145th Graduating class at 11 a.m. EST at Cadet Memorial Field. <\/p>\n
Trump last spoke at the commencement ceremony in May 2017, where he praised the Coast Guard for its mission, saying the graduating class is “always ready.”<\/p>\n
“Americans will place their trust in your leadership, just as they have trusted in generations of Coast Guard men and women,” Trump said. <\/p>\n
In 2025, former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem<\/a> gave the keynote address. <\/p>\n Trump’s appearance this year is also expected to be met with protests, the Hartford Courant <\/a>reports. <\/p>\n A protest is scheduled at New London’s McKinley Park on Wednesday morning. The outlet reports that a coalition of 14 or more organizations operating as the “Unify and Resist Coalition” will be in attendance.
