(KOLN) &#8211; The North American beaver that was rescued in January was recently released back into the wild, according to Lincoln Animal Control. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.1011now.com\/2026\/01\/25\/lincoln-animal-control-rescue-beaver-central-lincoln\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.1011now.com\/2026\/01\/25\/lincoln-animal-control-rescue-beaver-central-lincoln\/\">North American beaver was found <\/a>covered in icicles while limping near a liquor store in Lincoln. The beaver was transported to The Baldwin Wildlife Center where he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.1011now.com\/2026\/02\/06\/beaver-rescued-lincoln-heals-nebraska-wildlife-rehab\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.1011now.com\/2026\/02\/06\/beaver-rescued-lincoln-heals-nebraska-wildlife-rehab\/\">received specialized care<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">On Jan. 24, Lincoln Animal Control received a call regarding a possible injured animal outside of a liquor store around 20th and O streets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Animal control said, upon arrival, officers found a beaver in rough condition.
