The organization’s SPARK Center is designed to provide mental health care for children, teens, and families. “I think that mental health awareness is an opportunity for us to reduce the stigma that I think still exists with mental health, associated with individuals seeking mental health treatment. And so mental health awareness allows us to really ensure that individuals who need care avail themselves to that care,” said Ron Bunce, president and CEO of the Children’s Home of York. Data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that one in five children experience a mental, emotional, or behavioral disorder, yet many do not receive timely care.\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
