{"id":656788,"date":"2026-05-21T17:00:10","date_gmt":"2026-05-21T17:00:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/656788\/"},"modified":"2026-05-21T17:00:10","modified_gmt":"2026-05-21T17:00:10","slug":"details-revealed-about-wwe-star-ludwig-kaisers-battery-arrest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/656788\/","title":{"rendered":"Details revealed about WWE star Ludwig Kaiser&#8217;s battery arrest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ludwig Kaiser allegedly didn\u2019t mind his manners.<\/p>\n<p>The WWE star, who currently performs as luchador character El Grande Americano, allegedly assaulted a man in Florida in April after the man told him to \u201chave some manners\u201d upon leaving a elevator after the wrestler and a woman were \u201cuncontrollably intimate\u201d in the individual\u2019s presence, according to the arrest warrant affidavit.<\/p>\n<p>Kaiser \u2014 real name Marcel Barthel \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/05\/21\/sports\/wwe-star-ludwig-kaiser-marcel-barthel-arrested-on-battery-charge-in-florida\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">was arrested Wednesday<\/a> and charged with misdemeanor battery, and has since been released from jail.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:0.79980469;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"39445588\" width=\"472\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/wwe-superstar-ludwig-kaiser-arrested-128374434_d7c32f.jpg\" alt=\"Mugshot of WWE superstar Ludwig Kaiser.\" class=\"wp-image-39445588\"  \/>Ludwig Kaiser\u2019s mug shot. Orange County Corrections Dept<\/p>\n<p>He has pled not guilty.<\/p>\n<p>The 35-year-old grappler is accused of striking Richard Reap at the Paramount on Lake Eola Apartments in Orlando, Fla., on April 23.<\/p>\n<p>Reap reportedly told police he had been assaulted outside the elevator on the 12th floor around 6:30 p.m. ET after an unknown white man and female followed him into an elevator.<\/p>\n<p>He alleged the pair kissed in a manner he described as \u201cuncontrollably intimate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kaiser reportedly had been dating WWE host Andrea Bazarte, and it\u2019s uncertain if they are still a pair.<\/p>\n<p>Reap claimed he told the couple to \u201cplease have some manners\u201d after exiting the elevator on the 12th floor, leading to the male purportedly attacking him.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.49926794;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"39445612\" width=\"885\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/ludwig-kaiser-makes-way-ring-128374542_cbb9ce.jpg\" alt=\"Ludwig Kaiser making his way to the ring in black trunks with &quot;LV European Elegance LK&quot; written on them.\" class=\"wp-image-39445612\"  \/>Ludwig Kaiser in 2024. WWE via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>He alleged to police that Kaiser punched him multiple times and pushed him to the ground while threatening more violence.<\/p>\n<p>The responding police said he noticed a \u201clarge, fresh scratch\u201d on the back of Reap\u2019s head, along with redness in the region that indicated a \u201crecent physical altercation,\u201d per the affidavit.<\/p>\n<p>Officers viewed surveillance footage that showed a white man punching Reap outside the elevator at the time he mentioned, and they then identified Kaiser as the alleged assailant.<\/p>\n<p>Reap later picked out Kaiser from a group of six individuals, and police said the \u201ctotality\u201d allowed them to establish probable cause for Kaiser\u2019s arrest.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Kaiser learned of the warrant for his arrest on May 19 while he was in Mexico, according to court documents, and returned to Orlando the next day and turned himself in.<\/p>\n<p>The document states that he has \u201cevery intention to appearing at all required court appearances\u201d but he filed a motion to allow him to travel out of state and internationally.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s slated to compete on May 30 against Chad Gable, the \u201coriginal\u201d El Grande Americano, in a mask vs. mask match in Monterrey, Mexico for the AAA Lucha Libre promotion, which WWE purchased last year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Ludwig Kaiser allegedly didn\u2019t mind his manners.
