Burger King<\/p>\n

The Burger King in Alameda\u2019s South Shore Plaza has a sign outside that says it is temporarily closed, but Yelp<\/a> states that it is closed. Burger King<\/a>, 2200 Otis Dr., Alameda<\/p>\n

Fish & Bird Sousaku Izakaya<\/p>\n

Fish & Bird<\/a>, an izakaya restaurant in Berkeley, announced that it is closing its door. An Instagram announcement<\/a> states, in part, \u201cThank you so much for your support over the past 6 1\/2 years; we loved meeting you and serving you. There are various reasons for the closure, but it\u2019s been a tough 6 1\/2 years, and I\u2019ve decided to semi-retire.\u201d The last day of service will be Sunday, June 14. Until then, they will be open Thursdays-Mondays. Fish & Bird Sousaku Izakaya<\/a>, 2451 Shattuck Ave., Berkeley\u00a0<\/p>\n

Gold Palm<\/p>\n

Gold Palm, an Uptown Oakland restaurant and bar, has announced that its last day of service will be May 27. Owners Shirin Raza and Daniel Gahr, who also own Bar Shiru, shared with NOSH that the restaurant was not financially sustainable. Gold Palm<\/a> opened inside the historic Floral Depot building near the Fox Theater in fall 2024. The owners shared that they are available for \u201cprivate bookings, community gatherings and team outings, with the idea that we will also be open periodically for special events in the neighborhood, such as select Fox shows and OSA concerts at Cloud Park.\u201d Moonglow<\/a>, a bar and music lounge next to Gold Palm, will remain open and will expand hours starting in June, with some of the familiar small bites such as Gold Palm\u2019s masala fries. Yali\u2019s Qualcomm Cafe<\/p>\n

A tipster informed us that Yali\u2019s Qualcomm Cafe on the Cal campus has closed. Yali\u2019s also operates another cafe near campus, Yali\u2019s Cafe, on Oxford Street. That one remains open. Yali\u2019s has been family owned and operated since 1999. Yali\u2019s Cafe<\/a>, Sutardja Dai Hall, 2594 Hearst Ave., Berkeley<\/p>\n
