\n\tKelly Clarkson<\/a> is postponing the remaining August dates of her Las Vegas<\/a> residency to take care of her family.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe singer made the announcement late Wednesday night on Instagram<\/a>, writing in part, \u201cWhile I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children\u2019s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them. I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tClarkson\u2019s last Vegas<\/a> show was on Saturday, Aug. 2 and she was set to resume her Studio Sessions performances on Friday, Aug. 8 as the first of four more shows in August at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The residency is set to resume in November.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe move comes after Clarkson delayed the start of her residency by a week, announcing that postponement shortly before the shows were set to kick off on July 4. That delay, Clarkson said, was due to vocal issues.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe have been working 24\/7 to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with and for my incredible fans,\u201d she wrote on Instagram at the time<\/a>. \u201cI am beyond grateful that you always show up for me and I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow\u2019s opening at Caesars. The prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tShe added, \u201cI want the shows to be perfect for y\u2019all and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve. The show is truly incredible. The musicians and singers are outstanding, and I want us all to start out strong.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe singer was also absent from a number of episodes of her eponymous NBC daytime talk show earlier this year, prompting concern from fans as guest hosts filled in.<\/p>\n

\n\tClarkson and ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, with whom she shares two children, were married from 2013 to 2020 before divorcing.<\/p>\n

\n\tClarkson, who announced her Studio Sessions Vegas residency in February, recently sold a stake in her catalog to HarbourView Equity Partners<\/a>, with the company saying the deal includes a portion of her biggest hits including \u201cSince U Been Gone,\u201d \u201cBecause of You,\u201d \u201cStronger (What Doesn\u2019t Kill You),\u201d \u201cBehind These Hazel Eyes,\u201d and \u201cUnderneath the Tree.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe size of the stake, how much was paid and what type of rights weren\u2019t revealed.<\/p>\n
