As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oregonlive.com\/portland-fire\/2026\/05\/portland-fire-announce-major-roster-shift-releasing-multiple-players-and-shifting-developmental-contracts.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reported by OregonLive<\/a>, the Fire have released guards Sug Sutton and Kamiah Smalls, plus forward Haley Jones. Per the same report, the team has filled those spaces with up-and-coming players:<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">With the new spaces on the roster open, the Fire have converted developmental players Holly Winterburn and Frieda B\u00fchner to the active roster, and have activated Teja Oblak\u2019s contract.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Sutton averaged 11.3 points and 5.7 assists per game this season, Smalls 7.5 points and 3.0 assists.
