A bear was captured on camera in Eau Claire today, right outside the public library.<\/p>\n

EAU CLAIRE (WQOW) – A bear was captured on camera in Eau Claire today, right outside the public library.<\/p>\n

The L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library posted this video<\/a> on its Facebook page Thursday night.<\/p>\n

You can see the curious bear getting closer to the building and looking at the window, then it turns, and runs toward the trees.<\/p>\n

The library captioning the video as welcome to the li-bear-y!<\/p>\n

The Eau Claire Police Department says they know about the sighting and they are encouraging residents to give the animal plenty of space and avoid approaching or interacting with it.<\/p>\n

They say local authorities are monitoring the situation.<\/p>\n
