When one of the cops informed Britney that it is \u201cextremely dangerous to drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs or both,\u201d the \u201cToxic\u201d hitmaker, 44, responded, \u201cYes, sir, I know. My mom actually killed a man on a bike, but I never did that before,\u201d per video obtained by TMZ. <\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cAnd nothing happened to her! \u2026 Why didn\u2019t they arrest her? How come my mom got away with everything?\u201d<\/p>\n

Britney went on to allege that her mother also \u201ctried to kill\u201d the pop star before starting a tense back-and-forth with cops after they told her she was being arrested. <\/p>\n

The story is a true tale, apparently. In her 2008 memoir, \u201cThrough the Storm,\u201d Lynne explained that she killed a 12-year-old boy named Anthony Winters in 1975 while in a hurry to rush her brother to a Kentwood, Louisiana, hospital.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe roads were slick with rain, and as I was rounding the curve, an oncoming car was coming in the left lane,\u201d she writes.<\/p>\n

The book continues: \u201cIn a split second I could see two young boys riding their bikes on the road. In that flash of time, I had a sick sensation that I would hit one of them, that it would be impossible not to, as I knew my car would not stop, no matter how hard I slammed on the brakes. One boy managed to get his bike out of the way, but his friend, a 12-year-old boy whose house was right by the scene of the accident, was hit.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lynne, now 71, was not charged for the incident. <\/p>\n

As Page Six reported on Thursday, additional footage taken at the scene showed Britney failing a field sobriety test<\/a> and telling officers she had only had one mimosa earlier in the day while boasting of her tolerance. <\/p>\n

\u201cI could probably drink four bottles of wine and take care of you. I\u2019m an angel,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Britney\u2019s arrest report showed Britney also claimed that she had\u00a0taken several prescription drugs<\/a>, including the\u00a0mood stabilizer Lamictal and\u00a0anticonvulsant, antidepressant Prozac and Adderall.<\/p>\n

Police caught up with Britney after several drivers\u00a0reported the \u201cToxic\u201d songstress, 44, to police<\/a>\u00a0when they saw her allegedly driving \u201cerratically\u201d and almost \u201csideswip[ing]\u201d\u00a0several vehicles while in Ventura County, according to 911 audio exclusively obtained by Page Six.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m reporting an erratic driving person,\u201d one person said in a 911 call.<\/p>\n

The individual told the dispatch responder the location and told them how a BMW was allegedly moving \u201cin and out of lanes\u201d and \u201cslamming on the brakes.\u201d<\/p>\n

After the arrest, Spears\u00a0checked herself into rehab<\/a>\u00a0in April. She was released later that month<\/a> and was said to be \u201cdoing well.\u201d<\/p>\n

On May 4, her lawyer Michael Goldstein appeared at a court hearing on the singer\u2019s behalf and\u00a0accepted a \u201cwet reckless\u201d offer<\/a>.<\/p>\n
