Brandi Glanville<\/a> believes she may have contracted a sexually transmitted ringworm <\/a>in her throat from an ex-boyfriend who worked in pornography.<\/p>\n

Speaking to author and former adult film star Lisa Ann on a recent episode of her Brandi Unfiltered podcast, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star <\/a>asked: \u201cHave you heard about sexually transmitted ringworm? I feel like I have it\u2026 in my throat.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ringworm is a fungal infection that often affects the skin, nails or hair, according to the CDC<\/a>. New forms of the disease have recently begun to emerge, including a more severe form that is linked to sexual contact<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ann, 54, noted: \u201cIt\u2019s one of these things that most people don\u2019t know what to look for. We had to train our makeup artists that when a new member of talent would show up, they would have to get naked in a window where there\u2019s good light and they would inspect their body to see if they see any patches because it\u2019s incredibly contagious.\u201d<\/p>\n

Glanville, 53, said that she thinks she caught it while she was dating \u201csomebody in that industry.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe would only, you know, my face because he didn\u2019t want to get me pregnant,\u201d the reality star<\/a> added about the unnamed man. \u201cHe didn\u2019t know that ship had sailed. I\u2019m like, \u2018OK, whatever, I\u2019m not going to correct you.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

She explained that he would also finish in her mouth. \u201c[Then] my girlfriend told me about it yesterday,\u201d Glanville said of the infection. \u201cI knew nothing about it.\u201d<\/p>\n

She explained that after doctors ruled out more common sexually transmitted infections, she began doing some research herself.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey can apparently \u2026 burrow in, like, if it\u2019s in your throat,\u201d she said. \u201cIf it\u2019s in your throat, they can burrow deep into your ears and all that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Glanville\u2019s latest health revelation comes months after doctors finally discovered<\/a> the culprit behind her years-long facial disfigurement.<\/p>\n

Glanville has detailed her health struggles on social media for years (X\/@BrandiGlanville)<\/p>\n

Since December 2024, the TV personality has used social media to document the costly search<\/a> for the cause of swelling on the right side of her face.<\/p>\n

In February, she revealed to TMZ <\/a>that she \u201cdefinitely had a parasite,\u201d which led to her disfigurement. After further testing, she learned that the parasite was caused by a rupture of her decades-old breast implants.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was shocked, because they\u2019re implants that I\u2019ve had for almost 20 years, they looked fine, they felt fine, the mammogram said they were fine, it wasn\u2019t until I had a sonogram,\u201d she told the outlet. \u201cI was like, \u2018Maybe just check that too, why not?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Glanville said that she was urged to get her implants looked at after checking \u201ceverything else\u201d and seeing \u201c21 doctors.\u201d<\/p>\n
