\n\tScream<\/a> 4 alum, Alison Brie<\/a>, is sharing her thoughts on the revived franchise. <\/p>\n

\n\tWhile couple Brie and Dave Franco were promoting their horror film, Together, they appeared on the Shut Up Evan Podcast<\/a> and Scream was brought up. Brie portrayed Rebecca Walters, Sidney Prescott\u2019s (Neve Campbell) assistant in the 2011 film, which was the last Scream film directed by horror legend Wes Craven, before he died in 2015. <\/p>\n

\n\tFranco noted, \u201cI feel like with new Scream rules, even though she dies brutally, we could bring her back,\u201d to which Brie responded, \u201cYeah, where\u2019s my role in Scream 7?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIndeed, the slasher franchise has famously brought back characters in hallucination sequences like Skeet Ulrich\u2019s Billy Loomis in Scream (2022). Notably, Matthew Lillard\u2019s Stu Macher, David Arquette\u2019s Dewey Riley and Scott Foley\u2019s Roman Bridger, who all died in previous films, will return for the seventh installment.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe GLOW actress then shared her \u201cproblem with the current era of the Scream franchise\u201d is that \u201ctoo many people live.\u201d She continued, \u201cThe core four needs to die! \u2026 We should be down to two of the core four by Scream 7.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tFranco added that Dewey, a main character, was killed in Scream (2022), by Mikey Madison\u2019s Ghostface. Brie called his death a \u201cmistake\u201d and thinks they should \u201ckeep the main three,\u201d referring to Dewey, Sidney and Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox).<\/p>\n

\n\tScream 7 will also see the return of Campbell\u2019s Sidney who wasn\u2019t in the last film, Scream VI.
