Pale Male\u2019s winged widow is shacking up with a boy toy years after the death<\/a> of her beloved red-tailed-hawk mate \u2014 and the new Upper East Side lovebirds apparently already have a little one.<\/p>\n

Octavia moved her feathered fresh squeeze Henry into the Fifth Avenue nest once ruled by Pale Male<\/a> several months ago, and the pair quickly got down to it, according to avid avian watchers.<\/p>\n

Octavia (right) is now shacking up with a much-young beau, Henry, after the death of her famous longtime mate, Pale male. David Barrett<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s a cougar!\u201d exclaimed Stella Hamilton, a fan who had been watching the roughly 13-year-old ladybird since she first moved into Pale Male\u2019s nest in 2014.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe thought she was past her prime. The last baby she had was in 2018, and then Pale Male died. And then suddenly, here comes a new guy, and boom! She laid an egg, and it hatched.\u201d<\/p>\n

Birders first took note of Henry about two months ago but initially didn\u2019t pay much mind to the estimated 2-year-old hawk.<\/p>\n

Octavia was known for being a promiscuous bird and had a series of flings since Pale Male died in 2023 at the incredible age of 33 \u2014 and even had a torrid affair with another hawk during their famous romance.<\/p>\n

The May-December couple have a new baby, to boot. David Barrett<\/p>\n

But her illicit paramour didn\u2019t know how to build a nest to her liking, and she returned to Pale Male. She seemingly had the same issue with all of her short-term suitors since her husband\u2019s death, too.<\/p>\n

Henry, a name bestowed on the bird by the popular channel Manhattan Bird Alert<\/a>, was the first hawk that Octavia invited into her 927 Fifth Ave. penthouse.<\/p>\n

Birders estimate that Henry is around 2 years old based on the yellow still visible in his eyes. Red-tailed hawk\u2019s eyes grow darker as they age.<\/p>\n

The pair has been seen flying out together for meals and sprucing up their home, in between cuddling up with their little fuzzball that hatched sometime last month.<\/p>\n

Birders are ecstatic over the adorable new family, especially in the wake of the still-stinging loss of Pale Male.<\/p>\n

The bird was famous during his three-decade tenure as the neighborhood king, during which time he mated with and survived the deaths of at least eight different females.<\/p>\n

It is believed Pale Male sired 23 youngsters throughout his life, though the last few years of his life were child-free.<\/p>\n

Octavia herself is entering her golden years. Red-tailed hawks typically live 15 years in the wild.<\/p>\n

Either way, \u201cshe brought in Henry, and they seem to have one child in the nest. So we\u2019re happy that she is with a mate and is raising a child together,\u201d a fan named Hamilton said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"It\u2019s a real Lenox Hill love nest.
