The Indiana Fever are one of the WNBA’s most notable teams in large part because of the popularity of Caitlin Clark.<\/p>\n
But it’s positive regression on the way for Kelsey Mitchell and Sophie Cunningham that might be the best sign in the early going that Indiana should start moving in a better direction soon.<\/p>\n
It’s not that they’ve gotten off to an awful start of the season, but there are definitely shooting improvements to be made.<\/p>\n
Mitchell shot 39.4% from 3-point range last season but is only at 32.4% this season.<\/p>\n
Cunningham’s shift is even more dramatic, from 43.2% in 2025 to 30.4% so far this season.<\/p>\n
If the belief is that those players are both better natural shooters than this season’s numbers show, then there’s reason to believe they can indeed trend upward toward last season’s stats.<\/p>\n
Three clear areas where the Fever will improve offensively just based on regression.<\/p>\n

Kelsey Mitchell 3pt%: Currently shooting 32.4% (39.4% last yr)<\/p>\n
