IndyCar has announced that the winner of this year’s Indianapolis 500 race, Felix Rosenqvist, has won $4.34 million for his achievements.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
Rosenqvist won the 500-mile race in one of the most tense final laps in the race’s history.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
Team Penske’s David Malukas took the lead on the start of the final lap from Marcus Armstrong, with Rosenqvist running behind in third.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
After making his way past Armstrong at Turn 3, Rosenqvist shot out of the final corner, setting up a drag race to the finish line.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
Rosenqvist inched ahead of Malukas and finished 0.0233s in front of his rival, marking the closest finish in Indy 500 history.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
For his success, Rosenqvist has been awarded $4.34 million from the race purse, which received a significant boost from last year by rising to $30,906,400.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
In 2025, the total purse was $20,283,000, with the winner’s payout sitting at $3.8 million.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
The average payout to each driver this year was $936,500, up from last year’s figure of $596,500.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
