{"id":667109,"date":"2026-05-27T01:26:07","date_gmt":"2026-05-27T01:26:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/667109\/"},"modified":"2026-05-27T01:26:07","modified_gmt":"2026-05-27T01:26:07","slug":"jets-new-front-office-culture-is-to-think-ai-first","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/667109\/","title":{"rendered":"Jets&#8217; new front-office culture is &#8220;to think AI-first&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Jets are expanding their reliance on automation well beyond <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/nfl\/profootballtalk\/rumor-mill\/news\/report-woody-johnson-killed-trade-for-jerry-jeudy-over-his-madden-rating\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Madden ratings<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Via Rob Schaefer of Sports Business Journal, the Jets have <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2026\/05\/26\/jets-leaning-into-ai-under-new-front-office-leadership\/?issueId=TCPC2S5VVBBNXEULEHN227LY24\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">fully embraced AI<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The effort has crystallized under Iwao Fusillo, the team\u2019s new chief data and analytics officer. That title put him in charge of business and football analytics.<\/p>\n<p>Fusillo told Schaefer that 91 percent of the team\u2019s front office now uses Microsoft Copilot on a day-to-day basis. Roughly a hundred days ago, only \u201ca handful\u201d of the team\u2019s employees used it. Those utilizing it are averaging two or three prompts per day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI call that level one, or horizon one, which is adoption,\u201d Fusillo said. \u201cDo we have large business gains from that level one? Not really. But have we changed the culture of the entire front office? Yes. To think AI-first.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>AI has its uses, and it has its limits. There\u2019s also a natural aversion to it, given the probability that it will displace millions of workers \u2014 and the possibility that it will <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/technology\/2024\/dec\/27\/godfather-of-ai-raises-odds-of-the-technology-wiping-out-humanity-over-next-30-years\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">eventually trigger an extinction-level event<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>So the clock is ticking, Jets.
