{"id":667507,"date":"2026-05-27T06:10:24","date_gmt":"2026-05-27T06:10:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/667507\/"},"modified":"2026-05-27T06:10:24","modified_gmt":"2026-05-27T06:10:24","slug":"nico-collins-agrees-to-revised-contract-will-get-17-million-in-new-money","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/667507\/","title":{"rendered":"Nico Collins agrees to revised contract, will get $17 million in new money"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Wide receiver Nico Collins said recently that he wants to spend his entire career with the Texans and he\u2019s now set for at least the next two seasons in Houston. <\/p>\n<p>Collins\u2019s agents Drew and Jason Rosenhaus told Adam Schefter of ESPN that Collins <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/AdamSchefter\/status\/2059364597262401939\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">has agreed<\/a> to an adjusted contract with the Texans. Collins will get a $9 million raise in 2026 and an $8 million pay bump in 2027. Both year\u2019s salaries are now fully guaranteed as well. <\/p>\n<p>Collins is now set to make $29 million this season and $29.2 million in 2027, which bumps Collins well up the standings for annual average salaries among wide receivers. <\/p>\n<p>Texans General Manager Nick Caserio was adamant this offseason that the team had <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/nfl\/profootballtalk\/rumor-mill\/news\/nico-collins-i-started-my-career-in-houston-want-to-end-it-there\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">no interest in trading<\/a> Collins.
