{"id":668303,"date":"2026-05-27T15:43:11","date_gmt":"2026-05-27T15:43:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/668303\/"},"modified":"2026-05-27T15:43:11","modified_gmt":"2026-05-27T15:43:11","slug":"neuroscientist-reveals-1-question-to-ask-yourself-to-beat-anxiety","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/668303\/","title":{"rendered":"Neuroscientist Reveals 1 Question to Ask Yourself to Beat Anxiety"},"content":{"rendered":"<p id=\"anchor-536af9\" class=\"body-graf\">Anxiety is one of the most common mental health conditions in the U.S., <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nimh.nih.gov\/health\/statistics\/any-anxiety-disorder\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">affecting up to 19% of adults<\/a> \u2014 but most of us don\u2019t have specialized knowledge of how exactly the brain works to help us stop our racing thoughts.<\/p>\n<p id=\"anchor-f529e7\" class=\"body-graf\">Luckily, neuroscientist and author Alex Korb, Ph.D., shared some of his tips based on his over 20 years in the field for managing anxiety in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2026\/03\/20\/ive-been-a-neuroscientist-for-20-years-i-keep-my-brain-strong-and-healthy-by-avoiding-6-things.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">a recent CNBC article<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p id=\"anchor-95a4a4\" class=\"body-graf\">\u201cI\u2019ve learned that you don\u2019t need to optimize every minute of your day to make your brain stronger,\u201d Korb wrote. \u201cEven the smallest shifts in your approach can lead to positive changes that help you focus, feel calmer and fight burnout.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mental Health Tip of the Day: Ask Yourself This 1 Question Next Time You Feel Anxious<\/p>\n<p id=\"anchor-a3af24\" class=\"body-graf\">Rather than seeing anxiety as a flaw, Korb says he imagines it \u201cas a smoke detector: signals from the limbic system, your brain\u2019s emotional center, pointing to what matters.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"anchor-775d3b\" class=\"body-graf\">Instead of just ignoring it, he sees it as an opportunity to check in with himself. \u201cI pause and ask what (my anxiety) telling me about why this moment matters.
