Adam Sandler\u00a0<\/a>played a supporting role on Tuesday when he showed up on his wife, Jackie Sandler<\/a>‘s arm at the premiere of her new movie, Office Romance, starring Jennifer Lopez.<\/a><\/p>\n

However, despite Adam playing the role of a supportive husband, he overshadowed his wife’s big moment in the spotlight.<\/p>\n

The Happy Gilmore star was criticized by fans for seemingly making no effort with his appearance, arriving at the star-studded world premiere wearing an oversized orange Knicks hoodie, blue sweatpants, and sneakers.<\/p>\n

Jackie, meanwhile, put more thought into her attire and looked beautiful in a glittery black mini-dress, black tights, and heels.<\/p>\n

Despite Adam’s penchant for laid-back dressing, no matter the occasion, fans were divided over this appearance, with many criticising him for the “embarrassing” display.<\/p>\n

“I feel like it’s one thing when he’s promoting or doing his own projects but for his wife’s work you think he could throw on some khakis and a golf shirt at least lol,” one person commented on Reddit.<\/p>\n

A second said: “He always looks like he just turned thirteen and discovered his dad’s credit card.” A third added: “It must be so cool to be a man and be allowed to look like [expletive].”<\/p>\n

There were some who defended Adam, however, with one commenting: “Knowing his track record, I’m impressed the sweats and sweater match (not giving him a pass, just saying).”<\/p>\n

While fans may have been divided over his look, his wife is happy for him to dress comfortably.<\/p>\n

“My wife always was nice to me about my clothes. Even when we were young, others would say, ‘Would you put on something better than that? Your wife’s dressed so beautifully,'” he previously told Complex<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Adam met Jackie while on the set of his 1999 classic Big Daddy, in which she had a small role as a waitress.<\/p>\n

In 2020, when they celebrated 22 years of their first time meeting, the comedian wrote in an adoring Instagram post: “22 years ago today we locked eyes and fell deep. Look forward to the next 22, young lady. Love you my forever girl.”<\/p>\n

Adam and Jackie tied the knot in 2003 at Dick Clark’s oceanfront estate in Malibu, California, in front of a reported 400 glitteryguests; among them were Jennifer Aniston, Jack Nicholson, Rob Schneider, and Sharon Osbourne.<\/p>\n

They are now parents to two daughters<\/a>, Sadie, 20, and Sunny, 17, both of whom have followed in their parents’ footsteps.<\/p>\n

Said stars in the Netflix comedy Roommates, which was produced by Adam’s production company, Happy Madison, while both appeared in Happy Gilmore 2 and in the Netflix film You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah and Leo.<\/p>\n
