\n\tJimmy Kimmel<\/a> weighed in on reality show star Spencer Pratt<\/a>\u2018s unexpected rise in the polls as he wages a run for Los Angeles mayor<\/a>, warning that the candidate was in it for the attention.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn his ABC late-night show on Wednesday, Kimmel said, \u201cAre we really going to risk repeating that mistake we made with Trump in L.A., of all places? Mayor should not be your first job. The mayor of L.A. is in charge of a $14 billion annual budget. Spencer Pratt is not the person who should be in charge of that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tKimmel said that Pratt was \u201canother narcissist looking for attention.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tKimmel compared Pratt to Trump\u2019s candidacy, but said that the difference is that Trump \u201cactually had a job before he was on a reality show.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHe wasn\u2019t good at the job. He got all the money from for it his dad. The only thing he was good at was promoting himself. And it turned out that was enough.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tKimmel acknowledged that residents, including liberals, are \u201cfrustrated because nothing seems to change. So then you get a guy who is on a reality show, who\u2019s on a lot of reality shows, his profession is to be the screaming jerk on reality shows, and his house burns down. And even though he had no private insurance on his house, and doesn\u2019t believe in climate change, he is understandably upset about his house burning down, and since he\u2019s a moderately famous person, he gets attention, he\u2019s on the news, he\u2019s on social media, and for the first time in his life, people are agreeing with what he has to say. It\u2019s hard not to agree with what he has to say. He\u2019s angry about the same problems a lot of people here are angry about. Does he have solutions to those problems? No, but at least he\u2019s acknowledging that they are problems.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tKimmel told his audience, \u201cIf you don\u2019t want to vote for Karen Bass on June 2, I get it, but you better find somebody else to vote for, and preferably somebody who isn\u2019t wasting our time and money to get himself back on television.\u201d<\/p>\n
