The expansion WNBA franchise signed French guard Tima Pouye and waived Lexi Held, it announced on Thursday.<\/p>\n
Pouye, 27, led France’s Bourges Basket with 12.6 points per game this season, helping her team reach the French league final.<\/p>\n
\u201cTima is a proven scorer who has performed in high-pressure environments at both the domestic and international levels,\u201d Tempo general manager Monica Wright Rogers said in a press release. \u201cHer ability to stretch the floor, rebound from the guard position, and compete defensively stood out, and we\u2019re excited to add that versatility and experience to our backcourt.\u201d<\/p>\n
Pouye added 4.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game, while shooting 34.9 per cent from three-point range for Bourges.<\/p>\n
She has never played in the WNBA.<\/p>\n

Held, 26, appeared in eight games with the Tempo, averaging 7.5 minutes per contest and scoring nine points total.<\/p>\n
