As one would expect, the changes and upgrades aren’t radical, but this way, the Xiaomi 17T will remain a relevant upper-mid-range duo throughout 2026. Especially the 17T Pro, which will ride on the success of the Xiaomi 15T Pro.

As is often the case, the new generation comes with an updated chipset. This time, it’s the Dimensity 9500 that sits behind the wheel – MediaTek’s flagship solution for 2026. A step up from last year’s model and considerably more powerful than the Dimensity 8500 that powers the vanilla Xiaomi 17T.

Additionally, the new 17T Pro gets a significantly larger 7,000 mAh battery and a slight bump in the charging power, from 90W to 100W. The 50W wireless charging support remains, and the 17T Pro adds a snappy 22.5W reverse wired charging to its specs sheet.

Xiaomi 17T Pro specs at a glance:

Body: 162.2×77.5×8.25mm, 219g; Glass front (Gorilla Glass 7i), aluminum frame, Glass back (Gorilla Glass 7i); IP68 dust-tight and water-resistant (immersible up to 3m for 30 min).
Display: 6.83″ AMOLED, 68B colors, 144Hz, 3840Hz PWM, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, 1280x2772px resolution, 19.49:9 aspect ratio, 447ppi.
Chipset: Mediatek Dimensity 9500 (3 nm).
Memory: 256GB 12GB RAM, 512GB 12GB RAM, 1TB 12GB RAM; UFS 4.1.
OS/Software: Android 16, HyperOS 3.
Rear camera: Wide (main): 50 MP, f/1.6, 23mm, 1/1.31″, 1.2µm, multi-directional PDAF, OIS; Telephoto: 50 MP, f/3.0, 115mm, 1/2.76″, 0.64µm, PDAF (10cm – ∞), OIS, 5x optical zoom; Ultra wide angle: 12 MP, f/2.2, 15mm, 120˚, 1/3.06″, 1.12µm.
Front camera: 32 MP, f/2.2, 21mm (wide), 1/3.44″, 0.64µm.
Video capture: Rear camera: 8K@30fps, 4K@30/60/120fps, 1080p@30/60/120/240/960fps, gyro-EIS, 10-bit Rec. 2020, HDR10+; Front camera: 4K@30fps, 1080p@30/60fps, HDR10+.
Battery: 7000mAh; 100W wired, PD3.0, QC4, 50W wireless.
Connectivity: 5G; eSIM; Wi-Fi 7; BT 6.0; NFC; Infrared port.
Misc: Fingerprint reader (under display, optical); stereo speakers (with Dolby Atmos).

Aside from that, the Xiaomi 17T Pro is basically a refreshed Xiaomi 15T Pro, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The 17T Pro inherits the excellent 6.83-inch OLED display from last year, along with the sturdy design with IP68 ingress protection and the versatile and powerful camera hardware that includes a big 50MP main sensor and a 5x periscope telephoto shooter.

It’s hard not to notice the strong resemblance to the Poco X8 Pro Max and Poco F8 Ultra. These phones share a lot of features and hardware with the 17T Pro, making them a solid in-house alternative, so don’t miss out on the next few pages where we do a more comprehensive comparison.

Unboxing the Xiaomi 17T Pro

The Xiaomi 17T Pro comes with a USB-C to USB-A cable by default in all regions, but in some places like Europe, the compatible 100W Xiaomi charger is not included in the retail box.

You do get a soft, matte silicone protective case, though.

Introduction and specs The Xiaomi T series is back just eight months after its predecessor, the Xiaomi 15T.…

[41
165,74
post-671374","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-mobile","tag-mobile","tag-technology
["GET
