Morello previously described this new collaborative single as being inspired by, \u201cThe persecution of immigrants across the land and the counterforce of a heroic resistance to the rising tide of fascism. ADJOURN IT is a \u2018Freedom Song\u2019 of crushing riffs for justice and equality.\u201d<\/p>\n

The film is based on a true story of Mexican-American miners fighting against labor exploitation, racism, and institutional oppression, and was made by three Hollywood executives blacklisted for their political beliefs.<\/p>\n
It stars real zinc miners and was one of the first ever truly independent films.
