Disney has introduced a new statue of Grumpy at Disney\u2019s Magnolia Golf Course. The statue now greets players as they enter the recently redesigned four-hole stretch known as \u201cGrumpy\u2019s Gauntlet.\u201d\"Disney<\/a><\/p>\n

The statue now sits near the tee box to hole 14, the start to \u201cGrumpy\u2019s Gauntlet,\u201d a highly challenging stretch of four holes, holes 14-17, at the course. While introduced in 2025, \u201cGrumpy\u2019s Gauntlet\u201d continues to be a main attraction of the course and \u201camong the most challenging finishing holes in Central Florida,\u201d according to Disney.<\/p>\n

The group of holes features massive waste bunkers, tricky doglegs, and highly undulating greens. Hole 14 is a tough par-4, Hole 15 is a long par-5 (up to 597 yards), Hole 16 is a par-4 flanking water, and Hole 17 is a difficult par-3 surrounded by water.<\/p>\n

Disney Golf has just added a six-foot-tall Carrera marble statue of Grumpy, marking the entrance to \u201cGrumpy\u2019s Gauntlet.\u201d It was crafted by Walt Disney Imagineering using a stone-carving robot, powered by AI. <\/p>\n

Be sure to look closely for a couple of hidden \u201cgems\u201d featured in the statue, his club, a 7 iron as a nod to his fellow dwarfs, and a replicated golf ball from 1937, a nod to the original film\u2019s release date.<\/p>\n

In the Magnolia pro shop, Grumpy\u2019s Gauntley merchandise can be found, including hats, flags, golf balls, and other accessories. <\/p>\n

Grumpy\u2019s Gauntlet debuted in March of 2025. The golf course went through a\u00a0significant renovation in 2022<\/a>, reopening without its final four holes. They\u00a0reopened in late 2023<\/a>,\u00a0but construction work continued throughout 2024.<\/p>\n

Every hole on the Magnolia course has a Disney movie-inspired name and a quote, either by legendary golfer Arnold Palmer or Walt Disney. Hole No. 6 is \u201cThe Mouse Trap,\u201d featuring Walt Disney\u2019s famous quote, \u201cI hope we never lose sight of one thing \u2013 that it was all started by a mouse.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hole No. 15 is called \u201cThe Dinglehopper.\u201d It features the Arnold Palmer quote, \u201cIt\u2019s a funny thing; the more I practice, the luckier I get.\u201d<\/p>\n
