A Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification, where required listings for large layoffs are recorded, put the number of employees let go between October and January at about 350.

PacificSource confirmed new layoffs are on the horizon, but did not specify how many layoffs would occur or when they would go into effect.

The company sent the following statement:

“As a not-for-profit organization, PacificSource is making difficult decisions to ensure we can continue fulfilling our mission and serving members for the long term amid growing pressures across the healthcare industry.

This includes exiting the individual market, as well as the state of Montana across Commercial lines of business.

Unfortunately, this will affect valued employees as we will reduce positions to match our restructured business units. We will help affected employees through this process as much as possible, including offering severance packages if they qualify per company policy.

These are not decisions made lightly. We know they will affect people’s coverage and livelihoods, and we recognize the real impact on the individuals and communities we serve. The reality is the healthcare system is unsustainable: costs continue to rise, access is inconsistent, and the experience often falls short of what people need and deserve. These are not abstract problems. They directly affect PacificSource’s ability to continue delivering reliable, high-quality coverage to the people who count on us.

We are committed to transparency as we share more information and help members, employees, and partners understand what this means for them.”

The first round of layoffs cut about 20 percent of PacificSource’s workforce.

In September, PacificSource also announced it would no longer offer Oregon Health Plan coverage in Lane County, dropping 90,000 members from coverage.

At the time, the Oregon Health Authority said during 2025 rate negotiations with PacificSource, the company asked for more money, but the state could not offer the amount asked, and PacificSource said it would not renew its contract.

OHA said Friday that coordinated care organization Trillium has absorbed those 90,000 members who lost coverage under PacificSource.

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — Layoffs at PacificSource continue as the nonprofit announces its departure from the individual insurance market,…

[59
97,252,253
post-673173","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-health-care","tag-health","tag-health-care","tag-healthcare
["GET
